Cam Bulluck Named Tri-Star CFB Player of the Week Following Career-High Performance

Tennessee State wide receiver Cam Bulluck is the Tri-Star Network’s College Football Player of the Week following his career-high performance in the Tigers’ 42–28 loss to UT Martin.
Bulluck reeled in seven receptions for 191 yards and three touchdowns, setting or tying career highs in all three categories.
An Explosive Beginning
The junior was electric from the beginning, recording two receptions for 18 yards on Tennessee State’s opening drive.
His first touchdown, however, came with the Tigers backed up at their own 1-yard line. Bulluck caught a quick pass from quarterback Daylin Lee to the right and took it the full 99 yards, giving Tennessee State a 14–0 lead late in the first quarter.
UT Martin cut the Tigers’ lead to one touchdown early in the second quarter, but Bulluck punched right back. Lee found him for a 20-yard touchdown, restoring Tennessee State’s 14-point advantage at 21–7.
One Final Spark
Tennessee State’s offense went cold during the second half, committing several drive-ending turnovers. One fumble was returned for a touchdown, while an interception gave the Skyhawks possession at the Tigers’ 4-yard line.
UT Martin capitalized on those mistakes and entered the fourth quarter with control of the game.
Midway through the final period, with Tennessee State trailing 35–21, Bulluck broke free down the middle and hauled in a 21-yard touchdown for his third score of the afternoon.
The touchdown gave the Tigers one final opportunity to mount a comeback, but UT Martin responded with the game-clinching score.
Despite the loss, Bulluck was responsible for three of Tennessee State’s four touchdowns and accounted for more than half of the Tigers’ receiving yardage. His 99-yard score also provided one of the most explosive plays by any player in the state this season.
